When you submit our consultation request form, you provide:

If you become a client, we collect additional information necessary to provide our services. The handling of client tax information is governed by a separate Engagement Letter and §7216 Consent Form you sign before any tax-related work begins.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit brevade.com, our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages) automatically logs your IP address, browser type, pages visited, visit timestamps, and referring website. This is used to operate and secure the website, not for marketing or analytics tracking.

2.3 Information from third parties

We do not buy or receive personal information about you from data brokers or third parties.

3.How we use your information

We do not sell or rent your information, send unsolicited marketing, target you with ads, or build a profile of you outside our services.

To operate our business, we share information with trusted vendors. Each is contractually bound to confidentiality.

About AI processing: Before any transaction data is sent to an external AI service, our system removes personally identifiable information (PII). AI returns categorization suggestions which a Brevade partner reviews and approves before applying to your books.

5.How we share information

Beyond the vendors listed above, we share your information only in limited circumstances:

6.Your rights (California residents)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have specific rights:

You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have about you, sources, purposes, and third parties we share with.

6.2 Right to delete

You may request deletion of personal information we have about you, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., tax records we must retain).

6.3 Right to correct

You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.

6.4 Right to opt out of sale or sharing

Brevade does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6.5 Right to limit use of sensitive personal information

For sensitive information (like financial data), you have the right to limit our use to what's necessary to provide our services.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

6.7 How to exercise your rights

Email info@brevade.com with subject "Privacy Request." We will confirm receipt within 10 business days, verify your identity, and respond within 45 days (extendable to 90 days for complex requests). All requests are free.

7.Your rights (non-California residents)

If you live outside California, you may still have rights under Virginia's CDPA, Colorado's CPA, Connecticut's CTDPA, or other state privacy laws. We aim to provide the same rights to all users. Contact info@brevade.com to exercise any rights.

8.Cookies and tracking

Brevade.com uses minimal cookies:

We protect your information with industry-standard security:

In the event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours of confirmation, as required by California law.

Brevade does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Our services are for businesses, and we don't market to or accept inquiries from minors.

12.International users

Brevade is California-based, serving primarily US clients. If you access brevade.com from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using our website, you consent to this transfer.

13.Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will update the "Last Updated" date, and for material changes we will provide notice through the website and client portal. We will not apply changes retroactively in a way that reduces your rights without your explicit consent.
